Why I Love Broadcasting My Podcast Recordings Live

  1. Hi Jerod,

    Amen to this.

I dove full bore into live broadcasts on Facebook about 6 months ago when I was in Thailand. I was hooked. Never looked back.

Now I broadcast live – with 1 video daily – on YouTube, Facebook and Periscope. All reasons listed rock, but more than anything I feel broadcasting live allows you to come out. No scripts, no editing, just raw and real and authentic you being not an online persona, but a real, living, breathing human being.

Many of my readers say they got to really know me through my live videos. The blog posts rock, as do the eBooks and courses, but seeing me live on camera, gives folks a glimpse into the real me.

Doing live broadcasts also boosted my confidence immensely over a wide range of online platforms, from guest posting, to doing podcasts, to writing on Blogging From Paradise.

    Fab post Jerod.

PS….IU Hoosiers? Big hoops fan here.

  2. I have a podcast, but all three of us record on a different laptop (since we live in three different cities) is there a way to do a live show with all three of us in different spots? We usually use Skype to record, but can we all be on the same live stream whether it is YouTube or whatever. I originally downloaded Mixlr, but don’t think it has the capabilities I would need.

  3. Doing live broadcasts definitely brings you out of your shell and gives you more confidence. You really have to love what your doing and have things to say in a split second. It’s not an easy job and a lot harder than most people think. To all you live broadcasters out there, keep doing what your doing because not everyone has that talent! Thanx for the great article!
