Sometimes, you just have to muster your courage and do something Big. It might mean making a brave statement with your content, or creating a splash by launching something new and amazing.
On Monday, Brian Clark shared a strategy for telling a more gripping story by using the framing power of contrast. And he showed off an example, with a nifty animation video about our StudioPress Sites. One warning: This isn’t a technique for the wishy-washy. Use it when you have something bold to say.
On Tuesday, guest writer Cheryl Tan (who happens to be one of our Certified Content Marketers) let us know how we can get over our nervousness around creating video. She includes a way you can jump right into the deep end of video production — without getting overwhelmed.
And on Wednesday, Jerod Morris talked all the reasons he loves his favorite bold content strategy — broadcasting his podcast recordings live. Working without a net can be scary, but it also brings some great rewards.
Of course, sometimes the flip side of boldness can be a pile of stress. On Copyblogger FM, I talked about five techniques for managing stress when it comes up, so you can protect your creative productivity.
On the Sites podcast, Jerod Morris explained how to avoid the mega stress of making a terrible WordPress plugin decision. You think I’m exaggerating, but hacked sites and horrible user experience can definitely redline your blood pressure — and they’re much easier to prevent than they are to fix.
And on The Digital Entrepreneur, Sean Jackson interviewed Chris Silver Smith of Argent Media about terrible, horrible, no good, very bad online reviews — and how to address them without feeding the trolls.
That’s the content for this week — hope you have a bold (and not at all stressful) weekend!

Hi Sonia,
I really appreciate that bold message.
I have felt the urge to get back into blog commenting again to augment my guest posting campaign. Takes some boldness as I already have a kinda full plate but instead of working harder or longer, I have to clear my plate of some activities that were as bold as a glass of warm milk.
We let go the meek and weak to make room for the bold actions in our lives that will bring us the greatest success, across the board.
Thanks for the round up.
Ryan
