The major heads-up today is that we have a live workshop next week (Tuesday, April 24 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time) on how to use sophisticated segmentation and automation in your email marketing — even if you have a limited budget and you’re not particularly technical.
This lets you create focused and relevant messages for your audience — without flooding their inboxes. You can sign up for the free workshop here.
On Monday, Stefanie Flaxman shared (without oversharing) seven ways to make your writing personal but not self-indulgent. (Point #3 is my favorite.)
On Tuesday, Brian Clark talked about why email is still the “killer app” for digital marketing … and some of the important ways that it’s changing.
And on Wednesday, I reviewed the current state of chatbots, email, and how we can get our messages not just delivered, but read. (Hint: It has a lot to do with the subject of Brian’s workshop next week.)
Over on Copyblogger FM, we re-published a conversation I had with Seth Godin on “fake news,” storytelling, and how to create change.
And on Unemployable, Brian Clark interviewed entrepreneur John Doherty about making a leap in his business — and how to conquer the discomfort of taking your business to the next level.
That’s it for this week — hope to see you Tuesday for the email workshop!

5 AM start time here in New Zealand Sonia so not gonna make it but of course I will reweet it 😉 Email marketing is highly misunderstood. I feel folks fall in love with numbers and forget serving humans is the name of the email marketing game. Gotta focus on helping people, asking questions, making friends and having fun. Profits flow in after you follow these steps diligently, with the right energy.
Thanks as always for sharing.
Ryan

Also interested on the training, but I´ll be at work at that time. Will there be a replay?
Thank you so much Sonia.
Cheers!
Luis.
