I’d still spring for it in paperback, but at least now you can read as much as you want before you part with any bucks.

Markus Urban has just released an awesome WordPress plugin that allows you to drop Flickr photos into your blog posts without leaving the WordPress admin area. Even better, it automatically adds a stylish photo credit for Creative Commons attribution.

Thanks for the info on the Flickr plug-in. Very useful, especially the fact that the attribution line is inserted by the plug-in.

I’m not convinced the WordPress Flickr plugin is all that great.
Does it make it easy on us to find photos?
Yes.
But what about other issues?
1. I believe the plugin only embeds the image on your site, thus that image will only work on your site for as long as that picture remains on Flickr.
2. I think some of the authors prefer you to visit their page as they may have a few other request for you to use their photos.
3. Are you absolutely certain ALL these photos are available for commercial use without ever reading anything about it (even when you only allow for such searches)?
I’m not sure yet. Just some thoughts that maybe people can shed some light on. I’m on the fence with this plugin.

I read your content crossroads post and was intrigued by the concept of Medici Effect. I live up country in Thailand but this last weekend I spent in Bangkok and spent the better part of a day in English language bookstores and was elated to find perhaps the only copy of Medici Effect available. It is exceptional reading.
This morning I find it can be had for free. But no regrets, the value is well worth the investment. Free downloads are great but too often they end up out of sight, out of mind.

Well now, I’ve just spent a few very productive hours reading Medici…and it’s intersection heaven right here at my desk! Thanks AGAIN for this download.
The book explains how my mind has worked naturally, and why my clients appreciate the way we reach those intersections together. I now realize that I too have self-imposed some boundaries which have crept in over the years…yep, today they’re going, going, gone!
