  1. This, in my opinion…

“As writers, we have to first recognize our potential.”

…is the most important line in this blog. You have to be your own biggest fan, sometimes for YEARS, before you have enough fans to inspire you. I think this is why a lot of people don’t make it. They can’t be their own source of inspiration long enough to gain a fan base. Writers who can pull this off are almost certain to make it sooner or later.

    • For me, it’s also realizing that the ability to write is a special skill.

If you’ve sharpened that skill through practice (and continue to practice), don’t take it for granted. Explore all the different ways you can use it professionally. 🙂

  2. Hey Stefanie,

Being a writer can be a difficult job at times, but, reading article like this always motivates me as a writer.

Writing is all about getting inspired and inspiring others.

    Thanks for sharing this article.

  3. Oh, Stefanie…Nina Simone, John Coltrane, Nick Cave! I’ve read so many articles about working on language and content that are boring, stuffy and corporate-sounding that this really made my night. Thank you for being awesome and I look forward to checking out more of your insights.

    Cheers!
