Most sites that teach digital business and marketing have absolutist prescriptions.
“You must do this.”
“You must never do that.”
But the web is a complicated place. And rigid, black-and-white advice will only take you so far. This week, we talked about three ways to navigate the subtleties of conducting business online.
On Monday, Stefanie Flaxman outlined five types of audience members you can safely ignore. Copyblogger is phenomenal Sonia because this is one of the few blogs that delves into such a topic. I love it. So few bloggers think this one through. As my Jedi’s often note, only a Sith deals in absolutes. Or, acting from an energy of fear causes one to see life in absolutes. Opening up and understanding how, in truth, rules are meant to be broken, helps you succeed online. If I learned one thing over a decade of being a pro blogger, being flexible wins in the long run.
